This symposium will examine current exciting advancements in genetics and genomics and their impact on vision science.

We bring together geneticists, biologists and clinician scientists to highlight current achievements and future promises of vision research.

We wish to foster ongoing collaborative efforts and to promote new initiatives with our colleagues both within and outside of the NIH research community, for a better understanding of the genetic and biological bases of eye diseases and the exploration of novel treatment strategies.
