Samelia Okpodu

Samelia obtain her B.S. degree in Optical Engineering from Norfolk State University in 2008 and is currently working towards her Ph.D. in Physiology and Biophysics at Howard University. She joined N-NRL in 2009 as a part of the NIH Graduate Partnership Program. Her thesis research will focus on investigating the role of planar and epithelial polarity in photoreceptor development, structure, and function. Her training and thesis work will be completed under the supervision of Dr. Anand Swaroop.
