Strategic Planning 2011-2012
The NEI is revising its National Plan for Eye and Vision Research (2004). ** The new plan will have three major components:
I) NEI Framework for Vision Research (DRAFT)
- Goals and concepts common to most or all areas of biomedical research outlined in the context of vision research
II) Vision Research in 2011: Needs, Gaps and Opportunities
- A new plan is under development and is expected to be released in early 2012.
III) Ongoing Planning Workshops
- Emerging needs, gaps, and opportunities supplement those identified by planning panels.
