NEI’s National Eye Health Education Program (NEHEP) offers disease- and audience-specific programs for health educators. Through the NEHEP Partnership, NEI works with over 60 national partner organizations to support eye health education programs.

National Association of Area Agencies on Aging

Mission: The National Association of Area Agencies on Aging advocates for the Title VI Native American Aging Programs that help older adults and people with disabilities live with optimal health, well-being, independence, and dignity in their homes and communities. 

National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD)

Mission: NACDD improves the health of the public by strengthening state and national leadership and expertise for chronic disease prevention and control.

NACDD promotes social justice and well-being so that communities can build healthier futures.

National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC)

Mission: NACHC promotes efficient, high-quality, comprehensive health care that is accessible, culturally and linguistically competent, community directed, and patient centered for all.

National Association of Vision Professionals (NAVP)

Mission: NAVP is concerned with prevention, detection, and follow-up vision services for preschoolers, school-age children, and adults.

Their activities include providing leadership and planning to improve and expand vision conservation and eye health programs nationally.

National Black Nurses Association, Inc. (NBNA)

Mission: NBNA’s mission is to represent and provide a forum for collective action by African American and Black nurses.

They advocate for and implement strategies to ensure access to the highest quality of health care for people of color.

National Caucus and Center of Black Aging, Inc. (NCBA)

Mission: NCBA helps protect and improve the quality of life for elderly populations.

They make certain that legislators, policymakers, philanthropists, advocacy groups, service organizations, thought leaders, and the public-at-large include minority seniors in their programs, policy- and law-making, and giving.

National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA)

Mission: NCPA protects and promotes the interests of independent pharmacists whose current and future success is vital to their patients, their communities, and the entire health care system.

National Council of Urban Indian Health (NCUIH)

Mission: NCUIH is a National 501(c)(3) organization devoted to supporting and developing quality, accessible, and culturally competent health services for American Indians and Alaska Natives living in urban settings.

National Council on Aging (NCOA)

Mission: NCOA’s mission is to improve the lives of millions of older adults, especially those who are struggling.

Their goal is to impact the health and economic security of 40 million older adults by 2030, especially women, people of color, and LGBTQ+, low-income, and rural people.

National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI)

Mission: NHLBI’s mission is to provide global leadership for a research, training, and education program to:

  • Promote the prevention and treatment of heart, lung, and blood disorders

  • Enhance the health of all individuals so that they can live longer and more fulfilling lives

National Hispanic Council on Aging (NHCOA)

Mission: NHCOA works to empower older Hispanic adults, their families, and their caregivers through leadership development. They enable all people to age with dignity and in the best health possible, allowing all to become their own best advocates.

National Hispanic Medical Association (NHMA)

Mission: NHMA’s mission is to empower Hispanic physicians to lead efforts to improve the health of Hispanic and other underserved populations.

They collaborate with Hispanic state medical societies, residents, medical students, and other public and private sector partners.

National Indian Council on Aging (NICOA)

Mission: NICOA’s mission is to advocate for improved comprehensive health, social services, and economic well-being for American Indian and Alaska Native Elders.

National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK)

Mission: NIDDK’s mission is to conduct and support medical research and research training.

They improve people’s health and quality of life by sharing science-based information on diabetes, digestive and kidney diseases, and other related conditions.

National Institute on Aging (NIA)

Mission: NIA’s ongoing mission is to support and conduct research on aging and foster the development of research and clinician scientists in aging. They share information about aging and advances in research with the public and professional audiences.

National Keratoconus Foundation (NKCF)

Mission: NKCF is dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding of keratoconus and aims to provide resources to individuals with keratoconus.

National Medical Association (NMA)

Mission: NMA’s mission is to advance the art and science of medicine for people of African descent through education, advocacy, and health policy.

They promote health and wellness, eliminate health disparities, and sustain physician viability.

National Optometric Association (NOA)

Mission: NOA’s mission is to advance the visual health of minority populations by recruiting minority students into schools and colleges of optometry.

They also support new graduates and established minority optometrists in order to improve the delivery of optometric and health care services.

National Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Mission: National PTA's mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

National Research and Training Center on Blindness and Low Vision (NRTC)

Mission: NRTC’s mission is to enhance employment and independent living outcomes for individuals who are blind or have low vision through research, training, education, and dissemination. The Older Individuals who are Blind Technical Assistance Center — part of the NRTC — provides training and technical assistance to support state programs that serve older individuals who are blind.
