The Aniridia Foundation International is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to assisting those with low vision or blindness due to aniridia, a genetic syndrome. Support services, educational and social programs, and medical conferences help educate people with aniridia, their families, teachers, employers, and the medical community. AFI has created the International Medical Registry and Gene Bank which will provide researchers with data and benefits in better health care, treatments, advances in research for those with aniridia and others who live with conditions which make up the aniridia syndrome such as glaucoma, corneal scarring, diabetes and autism spectrum disorders. Membership is free.
