BACKGROUND, PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE:
Culturing human and mouse stem cells requires the use of several different types of culture media, supplements, substrates, and culture dishes. Stem cells are extremely sensitive to variations in growth condition. Our study requires the purchase of N2 and B27 supplements to push stem cells toward retinal phenotypes. The goal is to model retinal diseases in the lab to study disease and discover novel therapies. These reagents are used for a variety of studies currently conducted in the lab and is an essential component of many protocols.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract acquisition based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government reserves the right to use any nonproprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation(s).

Closing Statement: This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.  However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this notice.  Responses to this notice shall contain sufficient information to establish the interested parties’ bona-fide capabilities for fulfilling the requirement and include: unit price, list price, shipping and handling costs, the delivery period after contract award, the prompt payment discount terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin), the Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), and the certification of business size. All offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov
