Offerors must quote on all items to be eligible for award. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

These punches are required to prepare the clinical dose of stem cell derived retinal pigment epithelium patch (dimension 2x4 mm with curved edges) for patients. Its used both for preclinical work and for the trial.

 

REQUIREMENT:

Customized single-use punching tool utilized to trephine the released drug product (monolayer of ~1.5 million RPE cells on a 12 mm PLGA scaffold device) to the prescribed size (4 x 1.9 mm) prior to uptake in the transplantation tool and subsequent surgery.

Punching tool will have the following:

  • Finger Slider
  • Bubble attached to the finger slide
  • Machined straight slot punch
  • Handle
  • ring with cross durometer
  • Sheath tube
  • Loctite medical adhesive
  • Peelable breathable pouch

 

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE:  15 days after receipt of order.

Requirement is sole sourced approved by the FDA to use in clinical trials.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract acquisition based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Closing Statement: This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.  However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this notice.  Responses to this notice shall contain sufficient information to establish the interested parties’ bona-fide capabilities for fulfilling the requirement and include: unit price, list price, shipping and handling costs, the delivery period after contract award, the prompt payment discount terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin), the Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), and the certification of business size. All offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov
