The course begins (rain or shine) on the NIH campus, Bethesda, Md., on the lawn in front of Building 1.
11:30 am - NIH Police Canine Unit will give a demonstration
11:45 am - NIH Recreation and Welfare fitness instructors will lead a warm-up, followed by welcome remarks from NEI Director Michael F. Chiang.
12:10 pm - Race starts
Participants will exit campus and circumnavigate the perimeter of campus and return through security (route map is below).
Remember to bring your NIH PIV card to re-enter.

Prevention of Blindness Society will provide FREE glaucoma and vision screening for eyeglasses. The screening will include a visual field test, a pressure test, and a picture of the optic nerve. Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases that can cause peripheral vision loss and blindness by damaging the optic nerve. Screening is quick and easy and takes about 10 minutes to complete.
