Research interests: My project focuses on key players of cone cell synaptogenesis and signaling events. Syntrophin, a cytoplasmic membrane-associated scaffolding protein, has been implicated to interact with the dystrophin complex at the ribbon synapse. I hope to further characterize Syntrophin’s function in photoreceptors using molecular biology techniques.
