David Williams, University of Rochester; Donald Miller, Indiana University; and Austin Roorda, University of California Berkeley received recognition for the development of instruments that use adaptive optics technologies to capture high-resolution images of the living human retina. Also recognized was former Williams Lab postdoc Junzhong Liang, Apploptix, Inc.
