Summary of vision health equity workshop posted

A summary of the April 11, 2023, workshop, "NEI-NIMHD Vision Health Equity Workshop," is available on the NEI website.

The meeting, co-sponsored by NEI and the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, engaged a multidisciplinary panel of experts from vision health and health disparities fields to collectively review current research and identify knowledge gaps, potential barriers, and opportunities to address disparities and promote equity in across vision health fields of study.

Participants highlighted a need for interdisciplinary, community-engaged research collaborations to reduce disparities and promote equity.
