Biography
A molecular biologist with expertise in evolutionary genomics, I have extensive experience in molecular lab work and bioinformatic analysis, as well as expertise in light, confocal and electron microscopy, including super resolution microscopy. My academic background is in comparative genomics, phylogenomics and the evolution of vision, and my research looks at the deep evolutionary origin of phototransduction, the fovea, as well as the evolution of nightvision in nocturnal birds.
