Biography

William “Russ” O’Donnell, M.S., M.B.A., serves as chief of staff in the NEI Office of the Scientific Director. He also is chief of NEI clinical operations and clinic manager, overseeing budget and human resource development, information technology, strategic planning, ethical conduct of clinical research, and a reorganization of the institute’s clinical research program.

Prior to joining NEI in 1997, O’Donnell served as operations manager and administrator for the North Atlantic Regional Medical Command, Washington D.C.

He earned his Master of Science in healthcare administration and a Master of Business Administration at the University of Maryland University College.
