Join the National Eye Institute's Office of Data Science and Health Informatics (ODSHI) for their upcoming event, Privacy Considerations for Retinal Images. 

Public misconceptions over ocular imaging, especially the conflation of iris imaging to “retinal scans” increases barriers to data sharing and advancement in the field. At this event we will gather key opinion leaders to discuss this important topic and brainstorm ideas for educating the public.

Join the National Eye Institute's Office of Data Science and Health Informatics (ODSHI) for their upcoming event, Building AI Datasets for the Future of AI in Vision Research. Part of the NIH Common Fund’s Bridge2AI program, Dr. Aaron Lee (University of Washington) will discuss his flagship project, AI-READI (Artificial Intelligence Ready and Equitable Atlas for Diabetes Insights), a groundbreaking and ethically-sourced dataset enabling artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) research to uncover critical insights into type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and pathways to health. The event will offer opportunities for dialogue with Dr. Lee and ask for audience input on future topics of interest.
