The Diversity In Vision Research and Ophthalmology (DIVRO) summer program, sponsored by the NEI Office of the Director to promote research opportunities for students interested in pursuing a scientific or medical career, had another 12 participants interested in pursuing scientific or medical careers.

In addition to their scientific work, interns visited the NEI Eye Clinic and participated in the Summer Intern Journal Club on Topics in Vision Research, Responsible Conduct of Research training and Presentation coaching.
